This projects requires the re-imagining of the front & back yard areas. With the front yard, the owners want to update the traditional entry pathway with a more modern design. This includes reworking the grades to allow for a planter bed, concrete pavers & a built in bench to allow for the supervision while kids are playing and a relaxing space for reading. The back yard is separated from the main living area by 2 stories so the challenge is to create a multi-functional area that would keeps gatherings in one location without the need for travel up and down the stairs. This includes and outdoor fire pit, kitchen & lounge space for the family and adults. There is an open lawn play area & a dedicated kids zone. The kids/young adult zone is complete with a multi-functional structure with with swings, hanging chairs & zip line attached. Lastly, a underutilized corner will be developed into a kid's deck/fort zone away from the adults.
